Etiquette And A Child’s Mind

It is never to early to learn manners especially table manners.  I taught two little girls some table manners at a family gathering.  What they learned was put into practice right away at a family dinner.

  1. The two beautiful young ladies are my granddaughters and I was present when they practiced their newly discovered table etiquette and corrected their Great Papa. Ginny, they were so proud and so excited and Papa seemed quite tickled that they corrected him.
I must say, to my disgrace, that I have been corrected a time or two since!
What you began teaching them is a lost art as when I was young it was common for a young person to take a series of classes in etiquette before starting to date.
Thanks for spending time with the girls and giving them guidelines that will last a lifetime. I think I will fly you down for some intense private lessons!

  2. V. Berry, Thank you so much for your kind comments. Your two granddaughters were the best students. I enjoyed being with them very much. It was indeed my pleasure to teach them some new etiquette skills. The young girls are very polite and well behaved. I know all of you are very proud of them. My best to all of you and my favorite girls!
    Ginny
